Agile Foundation for Marketing & Communication

There are three advantages that I still experience after seven years of agile working in the marketing & communication field. Advantages that I would want all of my colleagues to experience so badly. We have a great job, but be honest: every now and then you just go crazy because of the overflowing agendas of people you work with. Or the sluggishness of decision-making in some chains. Or because of stakeholders who decide to play the role of the professional expert.

You want to know: is there no other way?

Fortunately, there is! Agile working really is a different way of working, with which you achieve completely different results. And the great thing is that you join in on a change that is one of the main subjects of discussion in almost all organizations. How nice would it be if you would know how to apply the agile way of working to marketing and communication issues in a meaningful way and include your (internal) client in that at the same time!



Agile Foundation is a two-day training that concludes with a certification exam.

  • Overview and embedding Scrum in the Agile framework
  • Project start: Foundations
  • Roles and mandates
  • Agile tools & techniques

Subjects day 2

  • A case from marketing & communication: get started with Scrum yourself
    • Create product backlog
    • Create sprint planning
    • Playing poker
    • Burn down chart
    • Agile rituals
  • Wrap up: do’s and don’ts of Agile Project Management



If you pass the multiple-choice exam which you’ll take approximately two weeks after the training, you are certified at an Agile Foundation level. This means that you are familiar with the Agile way of thinking, the Agile terminology, and that you can effortlessly participate in an Agile or Scrum team as a professional. (The first time preferably under the guidance of an experienced Agile coach or Scrum master). The certifying organization is Agile Consortium Int. The Foundation certificate is a prerequisite for taking the Agile MarCom Advanced and Agile Practitioners exams.
